SATEEN
Sateen weave is the most luxurious of all cotton woven fabrics. This kind of a fabric weave gives off a subtle elegant look to the eye with sheen and also the touch is extremely smooth like silk. This weave is most commonly used in super fine bed sheets as it is wrinkle-resistant and also drapes beautifully. This further adds up to the quality of the fabrics.
PERCALE
Percale on the other hand has no sheen and gives more casual look. The finished Percale woven fabric is crisp and more robust. Percale feels comfortable against skin under all weather conditions and can be made wrinkle resistant. Although Percale is similar to linen but confuses sometimes as one must keep in mind that Linen is made out of Flax however Percale is made out of Cotton.
FLANNEL
A unique brushed technique makes this weave soft to the point of plushness. Cozy and warm, flannel weaves are commonly used in cold weather clothing, blankets, bed sheets, and pajamas. Flannel is often made of cotton but can also be made of wool or synthetic fibers.
TWILL
A distinctive diagonal weave gives twill fabric a visible pattern and texture. The twill weave's uneven surface helps mask dirt and stains, making twill the perfect fabric for hard-wearing items like furniture upholstery and denim clothing.
